The Analytics team within Digital Paid Media Technology defines, sets up and manages the foundation of Tamedia’s data infrastructure, which includes centralized data storage as well as the tracking infrastructure for our core business – paid media (e.g. Tages-Anzeiger, Tribune de Genève, 24 heures, or Berner Zeitung). The team works in the intersection of editorial departments and newsrooms, product, marketing, and IT. With its valuable insights and analyses about our readers, the team makes an indispensable contribution to product development as well as marketing and sales activities. Your responsibilities

Your profile

  • Higher education degree in an industry-relevant field such as technology, computer science, economics, statistics, or equivalent experience
  • Very strong technical and leadership skills
  • Advanced knowledge of digital analytics tools (Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, Firebase, …)
  • Relevant work experience with tag management tools (Google Tag Manager, Launch, Tealium, …)
  • Experience working with web and app technologies (JavaScript, HTML5, APIs, …)
  • Proven experience in centralized data storage systems like Data Lakes and Data Warehouses
  • Familiarity with cloud computing services and their application in relation to data (Google Cloud/BigQuery, AWS, S3, Athena, Amazon Redshift, Amazon RDS,…)
  • Experience working with BI and reporting tools (DataStudio, PowerBI, Tableau, …)
  • Advanced knowledge in statistical programming (R, Python) and querying databases (SQL)
  • Experience working in agile environments
  • Drive to bring innovation and change
  • Strong analytical thinker, who can think outside the box
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to influence through the strength of ideas
  • Able to work and deliver under pressure
  • Fluent in German or English, French a plus
